WEST FARGO, N.D. - Concordia-St. Paul swimming and diving collected their best finish in program history at the Dragon Invite after claiming second inside the Hulbert Aquatic Center following the final two sessions on Saturday night.
The Golden Bears will return to the pool next Saturday for a double-dual against No. 24 Minnesota State and Division I St. Thomas on Senior Day. Action from Two Rivers Aquatic Center is scheduled for 1 p.m.
"The team battled hard throughout all three sessions this weekend and we are proud of our second-place finish," stated head coach
Rachel Busch.
CSP finished second in the team standings with 880.5 points, just seven points ahead of MSU Moorhead, after an impressive second day showing at the Dragon Invite. St. Cloud State won the meet with 981.5 points after entering the meet at the start of the second session.
After winning the three-meter dive in the final session,
Caitlyn Greenwalt completed the diving sweep at the Dragon Invite. The sophomore tallied a score of 412.25 to best Isabelle Johnson (338.85) and Zoe Bjerke (321.45) of MSU Moorhead.
Sophie Leo shined in the pool with a pair of first-place finishes and four top-5 finishes on day two of the competition. The freshman won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.61 and the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 27.59.
The first relay of the afternoon was the 800-yard freestyle relay, where the Golden Bears collected a pair of top-10 finishes. The team of

In the opening race of the final session, the Golden Bears added two more top-10 finishes in the 400-yard medley relay, as

Rebecca Hildebrand and
Emma Granovsky finished seventh.
The final event of the night was the 400-yard freestyle relay.
