ABERDEEN, S.D. - Concordia St. Paul's swim and dive team went 1-1 in this morning's double-dual against the Northern State Wolves and the University of Mary Marauders at the Aberdeen YMCA.

The Golden Bears will return to action on October 13th in their second double-dual of the season against St. Kate's and UMary. Action will take place at the Butler Center in St. Paul at 5:30 p.m. CSP will compete against St. Kate's the following day at 12 p.m. at the Butler Center.

"The team fought hard to the end, and we were pleased to come away 1-1 on the day," commented head coach
Rachel Busch. "The coaching staff is very pleased with the results of the weekend, and we are excited to continue tapping into the large potential of the team."

Concordia competed well in the first dual contest of the season after finishing with a trio of first-place finishes and defeating the Mary Marauders for the first time in dual action to even the series at 1-1.Â

Caitlyn Greenwalt made history this morning as she became the first Golden Bear diver to compete. The sophomore collected a score of 201.08 to establish the first school record in the event.

Freshman
Rebecca Hildebrand shined in her first dual as a Golden Bear. She collected a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, just added of Michaela Desmond of Mary by only one second.

A pair of Golden Bears battled in the 100-yard breaststroke to finish first and second in the race.
Chloe Rihon was able to outlast
Charly Horn in a photo finish by just hundredths of a second with a time of 1:13.12.

Farida Maher also performed well in today's meet to begin her third season in the Navy and Gold. The junior collected a pair of second-place finishes behind Victoria Murillo of Mary, who is one of the best returning distance swimmers in the NSIC.
