VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – On day two of the NCAA Indoor Championships, Concordia-St. Paul senior
Jakob Tordsen made it two NCAA Championships in as many days for the program as he became the first-ever male athlete to become an NCAA Champion, winning the heptathlon on Saturday at Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Trailing Azusa Pacific's Aaron Worrell by 39 points with just the 1000m remaining, Tordsen saved his best for last as he surged to massive PR in the event, surpassing his previous best of 2:50.28 with a time of 2:45.77 to finish second in the event and first in the hepathlon.
