ST. PAUL, Minn. – The NCAA has announced selections for the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships from March 10-11 in Virginia Beach, Va. and Concordia-St. Paul seniors
Arika Harbo (high jump and pentathlon) and
Jakob Tordsen (heptathlon) qualified for the meet.
Harbo will look to repeat as NCAA Champion in the high jump after taking home the crown in both the indoor and outdoor seasons last year. She added All-America Second Team recognition in the pentathlon in the indoor meet and in the heptathlon in the outdoor meet. This marks her fifth NCAA Championships meet as she also qualified for the previous three Indoor Championships and last year's Outdoor Championships. She ranks second in the nation in each of her events.
Tordsen heads to his third consecutive NCAA Championships meet and second in a row in the indoor season as he enters the competition ranked first in the country in the heptathlon. In last season's indoor meet, Tordsen took home All-America Second Team honors in the heptathlon before grabbing All-America First Team honors in the outdoor meet.
The 2023 NCAA DII indoor track and field championship will run from March 10-11 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. A total of 540 participants, 270 men and 270 women, will compete in the championships.
