MANKATO, Minn. - The Concordia-St. Paul track and field teams had a big weekend as they combined for four school records, four wins, seven provos and 39 top-five finishes at the Minnesota State Massive Meet #1, Minnesota State Massive Meet #2 and the UWRF Winter Classic on Friday and Saturday.

The Golden Bears got the weekend off to a flying start on Friday at the MSU Massive Meet #1 as Jakob Tordsen and Sydney Jackson both broke school records along with the men's distance medley relay team.

Tordsen edged Bryan Elyea-Wheeler's school record set in 2014 by 0.25" with a mark of 15' 7.25" to finish second in the event as he moved to 34th on the indoor qualifying list with a provo Tordsen added a third place result by clearing 6' 5.5" in the high jump.

Jackson put up a time of 57.75 in the 400m to take seventh with a provo to move into 42nd in the nation. Her time eclipsed Alyssa Christianson's 2014 mark of 58.07.

The DMR unit of Thomas Schauerman, James Howard, Emmett Faltesek and Matthew Helser shattered the previous school record of 10:15.33 as their time of 10:08.71 was the 31st-best mark in DII this year and good for third in the event.

Arika Harbo took fifth in the long jump as her distance of 18' 11.75" was good for another provo.

Eben Mundfrom contributed his first of two provos on the weekend with a second place finish mark of 60' 0.25" before bettering it by over three feet a day later with a win and a distance of 63' 0.75" in the MSU Massive Meet #2 on Saturday, moving him into 15th in the country.

Also at the second Massive Meet, Cece Lewis, Arika Harbo, Jaid Perry and Sydney Jackson broke the 4x400m relay record with a time of 3:57.46, bettering the old mark of 3:59.37 set back in 2017. Harbo added a win in the high jump, clearing 5' 9.75".

Maya Lavendusky picked up the team's lone win at the UWRF Winter Classic as she won the shot put with a distance of 39' 8.75".

The Golden Bears are set for their final tune-up before the NSIC Indoor Championships next weekend as they travel to the Phil Lundin Snowshoe Open at the University of Minnesota.
