MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. - Concordia-St. Paul swim and dive concluded the regular season with their first home meet victory over the Augsburg Auggies on Saturday afternoon at Two Rivers Aquatics Center.
"The coaching staff is really proud of the cohesiveness of the team and the effort they put forth in today's meet," commented Head Coach
Rachel Busch. "We did not let up on them at practice one bit this past week, and the team demonstrated great resilience in their fast swims, often with little rest between events," Busch added. "We are ecstatic about all of the progress the team is making and very grateful to continue making history with all their improvements," Busch concluded.
The Golden Bears added their first home meet victory to the history books with a dominating 161-54 dual win against the Augsburg Auggies. CSP would secure victories in all swimming events at the dual, with the Auggies adding their lone first-place finish in diving.
Farida Maher and
Chloe Rihon led the Golden Bears with 27 points, after each swimmer went undefeated.
Giulia Cury,
Sydney Fleming,
Emma Granovsky,
Hannah Hartlage and
Charly Horn would also add first-place finishes on the afternoon.
