ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Concordia-St. Paul senior
Thomas Huettl continued his strong run at the Lindenwood Invitational, moving up two spots in the third and final round to finish sixth place among 84 players competing at Missouri Bluffs. His strong play helped the Golden Bears move up two spots on the team leaderboard for a seventh place finish in the 14-team tournament.
The Golden Bears shot a 306 in the final round to finish at 906 overall, slipping ahead of a pair of schools and finishing just three shots behind Drury University. Missouri S&T won the tournament with an 884 overall score while Will Hocker of Webster was the top individual player at 214 (+1).
Huettl secures his first top-10 finish of the season and third of his career with a career-low 54-hole score of 221 (+8).
Hunter Robinson also produced a top-20 performance, shooting a 76 in the final round to finish at 227 (+14), coming in four shots ahead of
Brandon Sperling at 231 (+18) following his 77 third round.
Nick Navarro gave Concordia four players with sub-80 scores in the third round with his 79, finishing at 236 (+23) for a 48th place finish, five strokes ahead of
Taylor Zack.
Concordia continues spring competition next Monday and Tuesday at the Conference Preview played at Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs, Missouri, the site of the NSIC Championships to be held in mid-April.
