Sioux Falls, S.D. - Concordia swim wrapped up day one of the Augustana Invitational with a strong showing that saw multiple new school records and personal-best times at the Midco Aquatics Center.
 
"The Bears showed up to race today and had a very successful showing in both prelims and finals," stated Head Coach Rachel Busch after day one of the meet. "This meet provides awesome competition that helps simulate the conference meet in February," Busch concluded.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Farida Maher led the Golden Bears earned a B-cut time in the 500 yard free with a personal-best time and a new school record time of 5:02.60. She would also qualify for the C-final in 50 yard free by setting a new school record with a time of 24.34, which she would break in the finals with a time of 24.28.
 
Chloe Rihon used a new school-record time of 2:14.18 in the 200 IM to make the C-final for the Golden Bears. She would later break her own school record in the C-final with a time of 2:12.33.
 
Hannah Hartlage would also add to the CSP school-record books with a time of 1:01.35 in the 100 yard fly for the Golden Bears in the prelims.
 
The 200 yard medley relay team of Charly Horn, Emma Granovsky, Hartlage and Rihon set a new school record with a time of 1:52.97. The 800 yard free relay team of Granovsky, Horn, Maher and  Rihon would also set a new school record with a time of 8:12.91.

The Golden Bears will return to action for day two of the 2022 Augustana Invitation in Sioux Falls, S.D. tomorrow morning. Prelims are set to begin at 9:30 a.m. and finals will begin at 5 p.m. at the Midco Aquatics Center.
