CSP swim collects first dual win in program history at the MSU-Moorhead Meet

Farida Maher and Hannah Hartlage both collect event victories

MOORHEAD, Minn. - Concordia swim made history with their first-ever dual victory against the University of Jamestown in the Minnesota State-Moorhead Meet at Nemzek Pool on Saturday afternoon.
 
"Today was a fun, competitive meet against teams similar in size, which doesn't often happen for us," stated Head Coach Rachel Busch after the victory.
 
"As expected, it was a close competition with MSU-Moorhead and Jamestown University," Busch added. "The team is ecstatic to end the day with their first dual meet victory in program history."
 
"The team continues to be persistent in its training efforts," Busch continued. "We may have a small roster right now, but we are mighty and excited about the future and continued growth of our program," Busch concluded.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Farida Maher led the Golden Bears with three first-place event finishes on the afternoon. The sophomore claimed the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 54.37, the 200 yard freestyle with a season-best time of 1:59.09 and the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:27.06
 
Hannah Hartlage claimed her first career event victory with a personal-best time of 1:03.41 in the 100 yard fly. The freshman would also collect a fourth-place finish in the 50 yard free.
 
Chloe Rihon added a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 yard back with a time of 1:01.81 and in the 200 yard IM with a time 2:16.79. The freshman would also set a personal-best time in the 100 yard breast with a time of 1:11.48.
 
UP NEXT
The Golden Bears will return to action  November 17-19 at the Augie Invite in Sioux Falls, S.D. Prelims are set to begin at 9:30 a.m. and finals start at 5 p.m. each day at the Elmen Center Swimming Pool.
