MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. - Concordia swim hosted its first swim and dive meet in program history with a double-dual against Minnesota State and Southwest Minnesota State at Two Rivers Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon.

"The coaching staff is really proud of how well our women did at our very first home meet today," head coach Rachel Busch commented after the event. "They were part of making history in the hosting of our university's first home swim and dive meet."

Busch mentioned, "We had multiple season-best times, we had a handful of lifetime best times and we had school records broken by Chloe Rihon in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and 200 IM."

"Overall, our team had an excellent showing and it was so fun to see their hard work pay off and so much fun to see the support of our Golden Bear family from across campus coming out to Two Rivers Aquatic Center to support us," Busch added.

"Whenever we did a highlight share at dinner this evening, every woman on our team commented on how much fun it was to have so much support at our pool, and they could really feel the sense of community that we have at Concordia University, St. Paul," Busch stated.

"We are very grateful for the athletic directors and their support and operating our first ever home meet, and very thankful for Southwest and Mankato (Minnesota State) for coming from up or over to visit us and compete in the pool," Busch concluded.
