ST. PAUL, Minn. – This weekend, the Concordia – St. Paul swim team will compete in their eighth event of the season and their first event of 2022. The Bears will return to Northern Sun competition and travel to Moorhead Minnesota to compete in the MSU Moorhead Invite at the Hulbert Aquatic Center.
The events will begin at 5 P.M. on Friday and 10 A.M. on Saturday.
The Bears previously competed in the St. Kate's Quad Meet at the Butler Center Pool in St. Paul, where all four competing Bears placed in the top three at the event. Two CSP swimmers, Charly Horn and Farida Maher earned first and third place in both their races, while six CSP swimmers finished in the top three of the eight individual races they competed in.
Head coach Rachel Busch says, "The team and I are very excited to compete again, after having a month away from outside competition. We had an intense week of training last week and the girls are focused on making this last month of the regular season a strong one. The Dragon Invite is our last multi-day event before the Conference meet, helping us prepare for racing back-to-back days at the Conference meet Feb. 9 - 12. We will use our races from this weekend to help us fine-tune our conference meet line-up."
Teams competing in the invite include Concordia St. Paul, Concordia College Moorhead, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Northern State University, University of Mary, and University of Minnesota Morris.
