MARSHALL, Minn. – The first round of the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite wrapped up on Saturday afternoon at the Marshall Golf Club and the Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team sits in fifth place with 316 strokes (+28).
The Golden Bears are competing in a field of 10 teams, including eight from the NSIC. Among the conference ranks, CSP is currently fourth with only Augustana, Wayne State, and host school Southwest Minnesota State ahead of them. Augustana leads the tournament with a round-one score of 299 (+11).
Isabella Dory had another strong outing on day one, leading the Bears in a tie for sixth place with a 76 (+4) on the scorecard in round one.
Anna Tollette and
Katelyn Baribeau each shot a 79 (+7), putting them both in a tie for 16
th overall.
Erika Olson sits in a tie for 29
th through the first round, posting a score of 82 (+10).
Jessica Hagman capped off the team golfers for Concordia, ending the day in a tie for 40
th place with 86 strokes (+14).
Jilli Newman competed as an individual, landing in a tie for 33
rd with 84 strokes (+12).
The EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite will continue with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start tomorrow at the Marshall Golf Club.
