BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the fall season on Tuesday, finishing in third place at the Tracy Lane Memorial in Bemidji, Minn. with 649 strokes (+73).
The Golden Bears competed in a field of nine teams, all of which were from the NSIC. CSP finished just two strokes behind second place Minnesota State and maintained a 27-stroke lead on fourth place Minot State. Augustana won the tournament with a total score of 629 (+53).
Anna Tollette remained the leader for the Bears, tying for second place in the tournament with two identical rounds of 77 and a total score of 154 (+10).
Isabella Dory also cracked the top ten, finishing in sixth with a score of 160 (+16).
Jessica Hagman tied for 13
th overall with 167 strokes (+23) and
Erika Olson was just behind her in 16
th place with 168 strokes (+24).
Making her collegiate debut and competing as an individual,
Jilli Newman landed in a tie for 29
th place with a total score of 175 (+31).
Katelyn Baribeau made the largest jump of any of the CSP golfers in the tournament, shaving 11 strokes off her round one score and moving up seven spots to finish in 34
th place with a score of 179 (+35).
The women's golf team will return home to host the Golden Bear Classic at Keller Golf Club in Maplewood, Minn. on September 20 and 21.
