Amy Burnham tied for first after round two of NSIC Championships

Golden Bears sitting in fourth place through the first 36 holes

MORTON, Minn. – After round two of the NSIC Championships, the Concordia-St. Paul women's golf team remains in fourth place with 652 strokes (+76).  

The Golden Bears are competing in a field of 13 NSIC teams in the tournament. The team is currently just 10 strokes back of third-place Minnesota State. Augustana still leads the field with 625 strokes (+49). The team remained consistent in the second round of the tournament, shooting just four strokes higher than their round-one score.

Amy Burnham made a massive leap on day two, moving from eighth place all the way up to a tie for first with a round-two score of 75 (+3), bringing her total to 153 (+9).  Her round two score of 75 strokes marked a new career low for the freshman, besting her previous low by three strokes.

Isabella Dory also made significant strides on Saturday, moving up 11 spots into a tie for 23rd with a two-round total of 166 (+22). Erika Olson is also tied for 23rd with 166 strokes (+22).

Anna Tollette is just behind them in a tie for 29th with 168 strokes (+24). Jessica Hagman rounds out the CSP roster in a tie for 37th with 175 strokes (+31).

The third and final round of the NSIC Championships will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.  The top five golfers will be named NSIC All-Tournament, while the team champion will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional.
