ST. PAUL, Minn. - This weekend, the Concordia-St. Paul swim team will participate in the Roger Ahlman Invitational hosted by Macalester College for their sixth event of the season. The event will be held at the Riley Pool in the Leonard Center.
The events will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, December 3 and 8:30 am on Saturday, December 4. There will be six teams competing this weekend.
The Golden Bears last competed in the Augustana Invitational where they topped two teams with an 11th place finish within a tournament of 13 teams. Each swimmer who competed put out their season bests throughout the meet.
Farida Maher totaled 69 points for the team while finishing third in the finals 200-yard freestyle with an NCAA B-cut time of 1:52.7 and produced the program's first two NCAA B-cut times in team history, also producing in the 100-yard freestyle.
"Coming off a successful meet at the Augustana Invite, the girls have a multi-day meet under their belts and are even more ready to race hard in multiple events in a short amount of time at the invite this weekend at Macalester," said head coach Rachel Busch. "It will be fun to race some new and familiar competition."
Teams competing in the Macalester Invite include: CSP, Macalester College, Luther College, University of Jamestown, Hamline University, and Michigan Tech.
