MARSHALL, Minn. - Paced by a combined six individual top-three finishes, Concordia-St. Paul competed in its fourth meet of the year at Don Palm Natatorium at the SMSU Triangular hosted by Southwest Minnesota State.
The Golden Bears dropped head-to-head team results 172-47 to the host Mustangs and nearly topped Augsburg, coming up short 91-85.
Farida Maher had a pair of first place finishes including a nearly 1-minute win in the 1000 yard freestyle while
Charly Horn took home first place honors in the 100 yard breaststroke, topping SMSU's Nat Bohnert by 0.06 in a close finish.
Horn also took third in the 200 yard freestyle, coming in just 2.64 seconds behind first place finisher Annika Freiburger from SMSU. She joined
Laura Vekony in third place finishes as Vekony had a pair, finishing 2.26 seconds behind Freiburger in the 100 yard butterfly and also placed third in the 500 yard freestyle.
After a three week layoff from their last competition, the Golden Bears waste no time diving back into the pool, heading to the Augsutana Invite this Thursday through Saturday in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
