For the second straight week, Rengel delivered a lights-out performance against an experienced NSIC lineup as he two-hit Winona State while tying his career-high with nine strikeouts in a complete game (7 IP) victory. Rengel has now won back-to-back starts for his the first two wins in his career. On Sunday, he limited the Warrior bats to .091 hitting and was clutch in a narrow 2-1 victory.

Over his last two starts, Rengel has pitched 13.0 innings, allowing two earned runs (1.39) on five hits and five walks with 18 strikeouts. On the year, he has a 2.42 ERA in five starts with 32 strikeouts in 26 innings. Opponents are hitting just .208 on the year against the breakout freshman and he leads the team in strikeouts.
