The league’s third leading scorer at 20.0 points per game continued his pace over the weekend by averaging 20.5 points in two games for the Golden Bears. VanPelt shot 46.2% (12-26) from the floor while making 75.0% (3-4) from three and 77.8% (14-18) at the foul line. He also averaged 4.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds while averaging 36.5 minutes. He topped 20 points in each game, scoring 21 with five assists on Friday against Upper Iowa before scoring 20 points with three assists on Saturday against Winona State when he made all of his three’s for the weekend and was 9-of-10 at the stripe. VanPelt is also fourth in the NSIC in assists, averaging 4.0 per game.
