  • Title
    Student Assistant/Defense
Pfeffer joined the Golden Bear coaching staff as a student assistant for the 2012 spring season and will be interning with the team as a defensive assistant throughout the 2012 season.

He brings prior coaching experience to his undegraduate position with the team, as varsity defensive backs coach at Burnsville High School in 2010, and as the varsity defensive backs coach and co-head B-squad coach at Simley High School in 2009. He also coached junior high basketball in Burnsville in the 2010-11 winter season.

Pfeffer, a 2008 graduate of Burnsville High School and three-sport athlete for the Blaze, went to Gustavus Adolphus College where he played free safety for a season. A back injury derailed his playing career and sparked his decision to begin a path to coaching.

With the Blaze as a prep athlete, Pfeffer was an All-Lake Conference honorable mention football player and team captain as a senior in 2007. He also earned All-Lake Conference honorable mention honors on the hardwood. During the spring, he excelled in track & field as a team captain and earning All-Lake Conference. He was a Class AA 110m high hurdles state qualifier as well.

Enrolled at Concordia in the fall of 2010, he is on pace to graduate with a degree in kinesiology with a sport management focus along with a coaching minor this December.

Pfeffer intends to pursue a career path in college football coaching.
