In the spring of 2019, Johnson was able to add international coaching to his background, winning Czech Bowl XXVI with the Prague Lions.
The 2011 Wayzata High School graduate played linebacker for the Trojans as a prep and helped coach the freshmen and sophomore linebackers for Wayzata during his first two years of college while he attended Normandale Community College.
Johnson came to Concordia after graduating with his AA from Normandale and earned his undergraduate degree at CSP in health and physical education with a coaching minor, and his master's degree in sport management.
