Peter Bisson rejoined the Concordia football staff in 2019 after serving one year as an assistant in the 2015 season. In his second stint with the program, he's continued to show his value to by contributing in numerous roles. In 2022, he'll enter the year as a defensive scout team coach after previously serving as wide receivers coach and offensive scout team coach in recent years. He also serves as an instructor in sport psychology at CSP.
Prior to joining the Golden Bears staff, Bisson coached the wide receivers at Pasadena City College in Southern California.
He brings multiple seasons of football coaching experience to Concordia, coaching three years at Heritage Christian High School where he held the positions of offensive coordinator, strength & conditioning, offensive line and quarterback coach while completing a masters in Kinesiology at California State University Northridge.
He has also made coaching stops at Waldorf College (Iowa) as passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach as well as Southern California powerhouse Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks (WR & DB coach) where he was part of six straight playoff appearances and the top overall ranking in the national polls in November, 2008.
As a student-athlete, Bisson was a two-sport collegiate athlete at Grand Valley State, playing for the Lakers' football and baseball teams.
Throughout his coaching career, Bisson has also worked in the entertainment industry as an actor, stuntman and writer while also crossing over into journalism as a photojournalist and editor for ABC News.
His wife, Teresa is a professor in physical therapy at the University of Minnesota.
