Ollie Taylor

Ollie Taylor joined the Concordia football coaching staff during the spring season of 2019, assuming the passing game coordinator role in the program while specifically working with the quarterbacks. Taylor also is tasked with overseeing the offensive staff and managing the program's staff budget.

Taylor comes to Concordia from his alma mater Delaware State University in Dover where he worked with wide receivers and as the program's special teams coordinator. Prior to season at Delaware State in 2018, Taylor spent two years as wide receivers coach and co-special teams coordinator for Saginaw Valley State University (Mich.), a Division II program in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference (GLIAC).

His stop at Widener University (Pa.), where he was wide receivers coach, included a breakout year as the program posted the top-ranked passing offense in the conference and ranked 18th-nationally in 2015.

His coaching career began in 2012 at Widener where he was head coach of the junior varsity program and helped the varsity as a running backs coach and assistant in strength & conditioning. That year, he helped the program to a Division III Elite Eight (national quarterfinal) run, ranking fifth in the country in scoring offense, third in fewest sacks allowed and 20th in total offense.

From there, his career blossomed at Seton Hill University (Pa.) in the 2013 season, helping the team to the 13th-ranked passing offense in the nation as the wide receivers coach and gameday signal caller.  Following his season at Seton Hill, he spent a season at the prep level as offensive coordinator at McKean High School in Wilmington, Delaware for the 2014 fall and throughout the following offseason before rejoining Widener for his second stint at the DIII school in Pennsylvania.

He brings recruiting background from eight states primarily in the eastern part of the United States, but spanning a wide range of geographical areas including Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Ohio, Michigan and Indiana.

He was a quarterback and wide receiver at Delaware State where he earned a bachelor of science in management with minors in finance & banking, marketing and economics.
