"The Superstar" Mike Morris joined the Concordia athletic department in July of 2011 as the strength & conditioning coach for Golden Bear athletics.
Morris was among the most reliable long snappers in the NFL during his 13 year career. He played primarily with the Minnesota Vikings (nine seasons) and was a member of the 15-1 team that was one of the most prolific offenses in league history. While with the Cardinals organization, Morris was the strongest member of the team.
He was a four year starter at Division II Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State) prior to his professional football career.
His elite background in strength & conditioning led him to found MILO Barbell Club in Burnsville, Minn. where he has trained with NFL stars like Matt Birk and Todd Steussie along with many other prep and collegiate standouts. He also trained with former University of Minnesota NCAA Champion wrestler and current UFC fighter Brock Lesnar.
Morris has worked with All-American offensive lineman Tyler Hendrickson and former CU long snapper Josh Rosenthal, as well.
At Concordia, Morris will be responsible for the strength & conditioning efforts for the Golden Bear athletic department.
Since his NFL career ended in 1999, Morris has become a Twin Cities media personality under the moniker "The Superstar" while creating and hosting The Power Trip Morning Show on KFAN in the Twin Cities. He also co-hosted Minnesota Vikings fan line after games for a number of years before leaving the station in 2013.
