Jake Schaper enters his second season with CSP football as the tight ends coach after spending his first season with the program in 2023 as assistant tight ends coach and defensive scout team coordinator.
Prior to joining CSP, Schaper was the offensive quality control coach at the University of St. Thomas in the summer of 2023.
In 2022, Schaper was the varsity defensive line coach at Hopkins High School.
During the 2021 season, Schaper started his first coaching position with the role of coaching the varsity defensive line group at Airline High School in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Schaper began his playing career redshirting at Bemidji State University during the 2015 season before transferring to Rochester Community and Technical College where he played his 2016 and 2017 seasons, earning his associates degree.
For the 2018 and 2019 seasons, Schaper transferred to Minnesota State University where he finished his football career with his last game being played in the NCAA Division II Championship. Schaper earned his bachelors in sports management with a minor in coaching from MSU.
