Felix King 2026

Felix King

Felix King was hired as the CSP football assistant coach to work with defensive backs prior to the 2026 spring football season.

He brings national championship pedigree to the Golden Bear football program, spending the previous three years (2023-25) with two-time NAIA national champion Grand View University (Iowa) and is coming off of back-to-back perfect 14-0 seasons.

In his three years at Grand View as a member of the defensive coaching staff, King helped the Vikings to a 39-1 record including a 19-0 record in the Heart of Athletic Conference, a 28-game winning streak and nine shutout victories.

In the most recent championship run in 2025, the Vikings allowed just 53 total points (13.3/game) in four playoff victories, all coming against teams ranked in the top-16 in the country.

As cornerbacks coach and defensive backs assistant at Grand View, the Vikings surrendered under 200 passing yards per game in each of the last three years, including just 161.1 per game in 2023 and 146.1 in 2024, ranking in the top-7 in the nation each of those two seasons.

Over the past three seasons, the Vikings have recorded 51 total interceptions (37 by defensive backs), taking seven back for touchdowns, while compiling 85 pass breakups, eight forced fumbles and eight total defensive touchdowns.

Born in South Bend, Indiana and raised in Chicago, King earned his undergraduate degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2021 and his master's degree in sport management at Grand View in 2024.

As a player, King was an All-Conference defensive back at UW-Stevens Point and Grand View and played professionally with All-Pro honors in Germany in 2024.
