Concordia Career:
2016: Saw action in all 11 games while making a pair of starts at tight end for the Golden Bears … caught eight passes for 127 yards for an average of 15.9 yards per catch while adding a pair of touchdown receptions … had a season-long reception of 41 yards at Minnesota Crookston (9/10) while adding two touchdown receptions on 60 yards receiving … caught one pass for 38 yards against Augustana (11/5).

2015: Played in 11 games, making five starts for the Golden Bears ... named Concordia Special Teams Player of the Week against Minnesota State (10/17) ... had 11 catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns on the season ... made one catch for 17 yards and one touchdown in the season opener at SCSU (9/3) ... caught his second touchdown of the season from 15 yards out against Winona State (10/3) ... had a season-high four catches for 34 yards at Upper Iowa (10/10) ... also had three tackles on the season.

2014: Played in 10 games, registering 18 carries for 57 yards and a touchdown with a long of 11 and an average of 3.2 yards per carry ... scored first career touchdown in a win over Minnesota Crookston (9/27), carrying four times for 12 yards and a long of nine ... had three carries for 16 yards and a long of 11 in a win over Upper Iowa (10/25) ... had four carries for a season high 22 yards with a long of nine in a win at SMSU (11/1) ... also made a pair of tackles on the year.

2013: Played in seven games as a true freshman … finished the season with 85 yards on 26 carries … had 3.3 yards per rush … totaled 136 all-purpose yards… hauled in one reception for the Golden Bears … rushed for a season high 66 yards on 15 carries against Sioux Falls (10/19/13) … had four kick returns for 53 yards on the season … averaged 19.4 all-purpose yards per game … had two kick returns for 30 yards against Winona State (11/17/13).

Tracy High School:
San Joaquin Athletic Association (Div. I) Most Valuable Player ... All-Area selection as a running back ... rushed for 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns while helping the team to a 7-3 record to earn team MVP honors.

Born December 3, 1994 ... full name is Bruce Russell III ... son of Bruce, Jr. and Bambi Russell ... has a younger brother, Brandon who is a member of the Concordia football team ... will major in criminal justice and aspires to become a detective.
