BAY CITY, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference (GLIAC) has announced the 10th Lacrosse Players of the Week award for the 2026 season with Concordia-St. Paul's senior defender Natalie Brownfield earning Defensive Player of the Week.
Brownfield earns her first career GLIAC Player of the Week award after a career week of play and her best season in the Navy and Gold.
The senior becomes the 24th in program history to earn a POTW award and fourth of the season.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Natalie Brownfield, Concordia-St. Paul
Natalie Brownfield earns her first GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week accolade after recording a career-high seven ground balls to lead a defensive clinic against the Cardinals. Adding to her career day was two caused turnovers on route to holding SVSU to just five goals. Brownfield is now up to 35 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers this season, ranking top-10 in the GLIAC in both categories.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ella Boose, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State senior midfielder Ella Boose was named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Boose helped the Lakers to a pair of victories this weekend, beating Walsh and Davenport. She totaled 12 goals and one assist, adding 10 draw controls and a groundball. In the 21-8 win over the Cavaliers on Friday, Boose recorded a career-high seven goals, taking only seven shots, adding four draw controls, one assist, and one groundball. The seven goals helped her reach over 100 in her collegiate career. Following that up on Sunday, Boose helped the Lakers clinch their 13th GLIAC regular season title, and 50th straight conference win, with an 18-3 win over Davenport. Boose scored five more times and had six draw controls in the victory. This season, Boose leads the Lakers in points (55), goals (44), and draw controls (56).
