Flahaven, Palony named to GLIAC All-Tournament Team

The pair led the Golden Bears defensive stand during the semifinals game

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the 2026 Lacrosse All-Tournament Team and Concordia-St. Paul's defensive duo of Claire Flahaven and Anna Palony were named to the team. 

The Golden Bears finished their regular season with a (6-10, 3-5 GLIAC) record to earn the No. 3 seed in the GLIAC Tournament while making their sixth all-time appearance. 

In the GLIAC Semifinals, CSP faced the Wildcats of Northern Michigan where they fell 15-7 in a game that was a battle to score in, including a 0-0 and 4-4 first and second quarter. Leading the defense, the duo combined for two ground balls and one caused turnover but were pivotal in keeping the Golden Bears in the game. 

Flahaven concluded her star-studded time in the Navy and Gold, earning her fourth consecutive All-GLIAC First Team honors and surpassed 100 career caused turnovers. She adds GLIAC All-Tournament team to her long list of accomplishments for the Golden Bears including being named the 2025 GLIAC Defender of the Year. 

During her season, she tallied 41 ground balls, 33 caused turnovers and 23 draw controls. Her caused turnovers ranked second in the GLIAC. 

Palony wrapped up her time with the Golden Bears with back-to-back All-GLIAC Honorable Mention awards and adds GLIAC All-Tournament team to her stellar collegiate career. She put together a season that saw 28 ground balls and nine caused turnovers while starting in all 17 games for Concordia. 

Flahaven and Palony became the 11th and 12th respective players to make the All-Tournament team and follow suit of Katie Colleran and Anna Fisher who both made the team last season.
