Rosemount, Ill. — the Concordia-St. Paul softball team (6-3, 0-0 NSIC) wrapped up play at the Lewis Dome Invitational on Saturday afternoon with a pair of wins. The Golden Bears took down Truman State (3-11, 0-0 GLVC) in game one by a score of 4-3, before capping the day off with a 5-3 win over Quincy University (2-10, 0-0 GLVC). Final stats for both games will be posted when available.
Danni Sharum went 2-for-3 at the plate against the Bulldogs, blasting a three-run home run, her first of the season. Ava Blake was 1-for-3 at the plate with a triple and a run scored.
Tatum Dunlavy got the start in the circle tossing 6.0 innings, allowing one earned run and four hits with two strikeouts, earning her first win of the season to improve to 1-3.
In game two Lily Burke led the way, going 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored. Riley Rosenthal put together a 3-for-4 game as well and Nora Brandt smacked two hits, with one of those being a two out walkoff single to grab the 5-3 win.
Emmy Bowne got the win in the circle, improving to 4-1 on the year. The junior tossed her fourth complete game of the season, allowing seven hits and racking up four strikeouts.
CSP finishes the Tournament with a 4-1 record, the Golden Bears will now head down to Shawnee, Kansas to compete in the Top Gun Midwest Classic. The Navy and Gold are slated to play five games, starting on Friday, Feb. 27 when they take on Maryville University, with first pitch set for 3 p.m.
