ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Concordia-St. Paul softball team heads to Romeoville, Illinois this weekend for the Lewis Dome Invitational. The Golden Bears are slated to play five games at the tournament against GLIAC and GLVC opponents.
The tournament gets underway Thursday, Feb.19, with CSP set to play two games against Wayne State (Mich.) with first pitch slated for 3:30 p.m. before taking on Grand Valley State with first pitch set for 8 p.m.
On Friday, Feb. 20, the Golden Bears will play a single game against Upper Iowa set to get underway at 1:30 p.m.
The Golden Bears will wrap up the tournament with a pair of games on Saturday afternoon, Feb.21 with games against Truman State and Quincy, with start times of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The 14th annual Lewis Dome Invitational Softball Tournament will take place from Feb. 18-22 at The Dome at the Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemount, Illinois. Single day passes for the tournament can be purchased for $15 for adults and $5 for youth. A tournament all event pass can be purchased for $43.
Last Time Out
The Golden Bears opened their 2026 season two weeks ago at the Kelly Laas Memorial Tournament in St. Cloud. CSP went 2-2 over the weekend with a 5-4 win over Bemidji State in eight innings on Friday and a 11-3 win over Southwest Minnesota State in six innings on Saturday.
Emmy Bowne got the win in the circle Friday night, tossing eight innings, allowing four earned runs and striking out four batters. The Beavers jumped out to a 2-0 lead, before CSP tied the game at two on a Lily Burke sacrifice bunt in the fourth.
The Golden Bears held a 4-2 lead in the sixth, before the Beavers tied things up with a pair of sacrifice flies. CSP prevailed in the extra frame, bringing home the winning run on a Ashlyn Peterson walkoff sacrifice bunt.
On Saturday, the Golden Bears lineup struck for 11 runs, plating runs in each of the first three innings to open up a 7-1 lead. Emmy Bowne improved to 2-0 in the circle, tossing six innings, allowing 10 hits, three earned runs, with three strikeouts.
Alexis Monty reached base safely in all five of her plate appearances against the Mustangs, smacking two hits and drawing three walks, with two runs scored. Lily Burke was 2-for-2 at the plate, with two walks, four runs scored and two stolen bases.
Season Leaders
Alexis Monty went 5-for-10 at the plate across her first four games, while drawing six walks with two RBI. Monty currently boasts a .500/.688/.600 slash line with a 1.288 OPS in 16 plate appearances.
Nora Brandt collected four hits and drew four walks in the opening weekend, Brandt is currently batting .364 with a .533 OBP. Danni Sharum smacked four hits in 14 at bats, while collecting 4 RBI.
Emmy Bowne is 2-0 this season, with a 3.50 ERA and 1.64 WHIP, going the distance in both starts with seven strikeouts. Tatum Dunlavy has made two starts this season, posting a 5.73 ERA and 2.45 WHIP, with five punchouts. Abi Carter made two relief appearances, pitching a total of 3.2 innings, posting a 1.91 ERA and 1.36 WHIP.
Wayne State - Thursday, Feb. 19 at 3:30 p.m. - Rosemount Dome 1
Series Record: CSP 0, WSU 3
The Golden Bears and Warriors have met on three previous occasions, with Wayne State coming away with the win in all three of those matchups. The last time the two teams met was in March of 2017, where Wayne State came out on top 5-4 in Clermont, Florida.
The Warriors are 2-0 so far this season, earning wins over Lincoln Memorial and Bluefield State last weekend at the Lincoln Memorial Invitational.
Elly Koopman led the Warriors, going 5-for-5 at the plate, drawing three walks and driving in four runs. Hunter Near was 5-for-8 plate with three RBI, while smacking one double and one home run.
Abby Barnes and Brooke Bunch both went 2-for-5 across both games, while Mia Hool and Kate Dewitt went 2-for-6 at the plate.
Sydney Long got the start in the circle for the Warriors season opener, the junior went the distance, tossing a 7.0 inning complete game, allowing no earned runs, three hits and striking out five to earn the win.
Elly Koopman got the start in game two, tossing a complete game as well, while allowing four earned runs and striking out 10 batters to earn the win.
The Warriors are coached by Nicole Tines, she is in her fifth season at the helm of the Wayne State softball program.
Grand Valley State - Thursday, Feb.19 at 8 p.m. - Rosemount Dome 2
Series Record: CSP 1, GVSU 3
The Lakers and Golden Bears have met four times dating back to March of 2006, with Grand Valley holding a 3-1 record in that span. The two teams met last season in Clermont, Florida, with the Lakers coming away with an 8-3 win.
Grand Valley has yet to play a game this season and will open their 2026 season against Missouri S&T at the Lewis Dome Invitational on Thursday.
Last season the Lakers were led by Madelynn Pope, the freshman batted .386 with a .403 on-base percentage in 43 games. Elizabeth Wesoloski batted ..335 for the Lakers with a .912 OPS in 2025. Grace Usher posted a .303 batting average and a .712 OPS last season.
In the circle the Lakers were led by Nevaeh Ingram, the junior posted a 15-9 record in 24 starts with a 2.55 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 156.1 innings of work. Karli Doll made 19 starts in her freshman season, posting a 9-12 record, with a 2.66 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP.
The Lakers are led by head coach Dana Callihan, who is in her 12th season with Grand Valley.
Upper Iowa - Friday, Feb. 20 at 1:30 p.m. - Rosemount Dome 2
Series Record: CSP 29, UIU 16
The Peacocks and Golden Bears have an extensive history, dating back to Upper Iowa's time in the NSIC, with the two teams playing 45 times since 2004. CSP has the advantage, holding a 29-16 record over UIU in that time span.
The two teams last met in 2024, with the Peacocks earning an 8-6 win over CSP in Mankato.
Upper Iowa is off to a 1-12 start to the 2026 season, with the Peacocks dropping a pair of doubleheaders last weekend against Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State.
Emma Tautges leads the Peacocks at the plate, batting .304 with a .798 OPS in nine games this season. Dani Laughlin is batting .250 with a .385 on-base percentage in 39 plate appearances.
Sara Reid leads the Peacocks in the circle, with a 2.45 ERA and a 1,25 WHIP in 32.0 innings pitched with a 1-4 record. Mara Sivley has a 2.63 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP in 16.0 innings pitched.
The Peacocks are led by Rachel Rhode, she is in her first season as head coach at Upper Iowa.
Truman State - Saturday, Feb. 21 at 9 a.m. - Rosemount Dome 2
Series Record: CSP 5, TSU 2
In seven previous matchups the Golden Bears hold a 5-2 record over the Bulldogs. CSP have won each of their last five games against Truman, with their last meeting coming in 2022. CSP took both games against the Bulldogs in Wayne, Nebraska, winning game one 4-3 and taking game two 3-0.
The Bulldogs are off to a 3-7 start this season, after going 1-3 at the D2 Branson Battle last weekend.
Cassie Smith leads the Bulldogs at the plate with a .469 average and an 1.188 OPS, while driving in five runs with one double, two triples and a home run. Emily Wood is batting .385 in 26 at bats with an .837 OPS and two RBI. Riley Redig has a .250 average with a .817 OPS with two doubles this season.
In the circle, Jayda Long leads the way with a 1.04 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 27.0 innings pitched, with a 3-1 record. Madison Kluever has a 0-3 record in the circle this season, with a 3.86 ERA and a 1.84 WHIP with 12 strikeouts in 16.1 innings pitched.

Quincy - Saturday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. - Rosemount Dome 2
Series Record: CSP 2, QU 3
The Golden Bears and Hawks have played each other five teams, with Quincy winning three of those matchups. CSP took the last game between the two, earning a 5-3 win over Quincy in Topeka, Kansas in 2023.
Quincy is off to a 2-6 start this season, after going 1-3 at the D2 Branson Battle over the weekend with a win over Nebraska Kearney.
Makala Koozer leads the Hawks at the plate in the early going, with a .409 average and a 1.127 OPS, six walks and three RBI. Haleigh Winter is batting .333 with a .968 OPS, with two of her hits going for extra bases. Karlie Ingle is batting .278 with an .816 OPS for Quincy as well.
Hailey Platt leads the Hawk in the circle, owning a 1-1 record with a 3.65 ERA and 1.43 WHIP, with seven strikeouts in two starts this season. Haley Martin has made three starts for Quincy this season, with a 1-2 record and a 5.48 ERA.
The Hawks are led by Cathy Monroe, who is in her third season as the head coach at Quincy.
