ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Concordia-St. Paul women's basketball team returns to the Gangelhoff Center this weekend riding a five game win streak, after picking up a pair of wins over Bemidji State and Minnesota Duluth last weekend. The Golden Bears wrap up North-South Division crossover play with a pair of home games against Minot State and UMary this weekend.
On Friday night CSP will take on Minot State at the Gangelhoff Center, with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m. The Golden Bears play host to UMary on Saturday afternoon, tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Having won each of their last five games the Golden Bears record now sits in fifth place in the NSIC standings, with a 13-6 overall record and a 9-5 record in conference play.

Purchase Tickets in Advance Online
Fans are highly encouraged to purchase tickets online at cspbears.com/tickets prior to game day. All ticketed events for the 25-26 academic year will utilize the Vivenu online ticket platform found at that link and fans must scan a mobile ticket to enter. Tickets will still be sold on site on game day but purchases are card-only and include additional fees. The best way for fans to make their game day entry as smooth as possible is to purchase tickets online in advance. Last Time Out
The Golden Bears went 2-0, picking up road wins over Bemidji State and Minnesota Duluth over the weekend. Friday night's game saw CSP take down the Beavers in Bemidji by a score of 64-42, before heading to Duluth on Saturday and handing the Bulldogs their second loss of the season, 71-63.
Leah Dengerud led the way for the Golden Bears on Friday, scoring 15 points going 7-of-10 shooting on the night with four rebounds and a steal. Three other Golden Bears posted double digit points with Ashley Schuelke and Lydia Haack posting 11 points each. Lauren Wilson added 10 points with eight rebounds and three blocks.
After a slow first quarter, the Golden Bear offense found their groove in the second closing out the half with an 11-0 run to go up 37-22 at the half. CSP continued to pour it on in the third quarter, holding the Beavers to just six points and extending their lead to 29 entering the final quarter.
From there CSP cruised to 22 point win, holding BSU to 27.1% from the floor and 15.8% three-point shooting on the night.
Emma Mommsen was the leader on the scoresheet Saturday, putting together a 14 point, 15 rebound double-double in a key road win over a UMD squad that had won 13 of its last 14 games. Once again four Golden Bears tallied double digits, Lauren Wilson scored 17 points with two rebounds and three assists.
Leah Dengerud came up with another 15 point night, grabbing seven rebounds, Lydia Haack scored 14 points with four rebounds and five assists as well.
UMD held a 15-14 lead late in the first quarter, before a 7-0 run put CSP in front. From there CSP led for the remainder of the night, leading for 39:10 of total game time when it was all said and done.
CSP steadily built a lead throughout the second half, leading by as many as 15 in the fourth quarter and going on to win by eight.

Three Golden Bears are closing in on the 1,000 career point mark. Junior forward Lauren Wilson currently sits at 903 career points, with 368 points scored this season. Wilson is also averaging 19.4 points per game.
Senior guard Leah Dengerud surpassed 900 career points on Saturday and sits 99 points shy of the 1,000 career point mark, with 203 points scored this season.
Senior guard Lydia Haack is at 872 career points with 334 points this season. Including her time with Upper Iowa Haack is also 228 points shy of 2,000 career points as well.

The Golden Bears rank third in the NSIC and 25th in Division two in scoring offense this season, averaging 76.5 points per game this season. On defense CSP ranks seventh in the conference, allowing an average of 67.4 ppg.

The Golden Bears and Beavers have met 14 times dating back to February of 2014, with the Golden Bears holding an 11-3 record in that span. CSP has also won each of the previous four meetings between the two teams.
Last season the Golden Bears went on the road and took down the Beavers in Minot by a score of 93-40.
Lydia Haack led the way for CSP in the win, with 13 points and eight assists, going 4-of-10 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Emma Mommsen recorded her first career double-double, posting 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Ashley Schuelke scored 12 points off the bench, shooting 4-of-10 from the field with four rebounds. Lauren Wilson also scored double digits with 11 points and five boards.
The Golden Bears took control of the game early, opening up a 13-3 lead and holding a 25-11 lead at the end of the first quarter. CSP continued to dominate play in the second, holding Minot to just seven points in the period to lead 47-18 at the break.
CSP started the second half with an 18-4 run coming out of the break to hold a 43 point lead at the end of three. Using a 19 point fourth quarter to cruise to a 53 point win.
About the Beavers
Minot State sits in ninth place in the NSIC standings with a 9-12 overall record and a 6-8 record in conference play. The Beavers earned a split last weekend, dropping a home game 59-54 to Augustana on Friday, before defeating Wayne State 68-61 on Saturday afternoon.
The Beavers are eighth in the NSIC in scoring offense this season, averaging 70.4 points per game. On defense Minot ranks 12th in scoring, allowing an average of 71.2 ppg.
Minot is shooting 44% as a team, placing them fifth in the NSIC in team field goal percentage. Opponents are shooting at a 41.9% clip, placing Minot 10th in opponent field goal percentage.

The Golden Bears history with the Marauders dates back to December of 1997 when the two teams first met, with UMary going on to win, 72-57. Since 2007 the teams have played on a regular basis as conference opponents, with CSP holding a 16-7 record in NSIC matchups.
Recently the Golden Bears have had the upper hand, winning five of the last six meetings between the two squads, with CSP taking last year's game in Bismarck by a score of 73-48.
Lydia Haack dropped 21 points for the Golden Bears in the win, going 8-of-16 from the field, 1-of-2 from beyond the arc and 4-of-5 at the free throw line. Ashley Schuelke finished with 12 points in the win, going 4-of-6 from three-point range.
Play was closely contested in the first half, with CSP holding a 35-28 lead at the halftime break. The Golden Bears opened things up in the third, using a 17-2 run to take control of the game and open up a 54-33 lead heading into the fourth.
Concordia finished the night shooting 27-of-64 (42.2%) from the field and 7-of-19 (36.8%) from beyond the arc.

UMary sits in third place in the NSIC standings and second in the North Division, with an overall record of 17-6 and a 10-4 record in conference play this season. The Marauders earned a sweep last weekend, taking down Wayne State on Friday, 91-87 and Augustana on Saturday, 67-55.
