Austin, Texas. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its 2024-25 Academic All-America® at-large sport teams on Tuesday and Concordia-St. Paul lacrosse defender Claire Flahaven was selected to the Third-Team.
Flahaven becomes just the third Golden Bear lacrosse player to earn the honor, joining two-time member Katie Moynihan who made the Third-Team in 2020-21 and then the First-Team in 2021-22. Maddie Hentges was the first player to earn the accolade, being named to the Second-Team in 2019-20.
A junior defender from Elk River, Minnesota, Flahaven joins the Third-Team after a season where she was named the GLIAC Defender of the Year and became a three-time All-GLIAC First Team member. She tallied a team-high 26 caused turnovers and 26 ground balls while recording 31 draw controls. The junior held a 3.84 GPA while majoring in exercise science.
Cal State San Marcos' Madison Murr, a golfer from Los Alamitos, Calif. was named the CSC Academic All-America Team Member of the year after becoming the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Champion. She accumulated a 3.96 GPA in environmental studies and graduated this past spring.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.
