ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The Golden Bear softball team (17-24, 9-7 NSIC) suffered a 10-3 loss and an 11-0 five-inning loss to St. Cloud State (30-11, 9-4 NSIC) on Sunday. CSP was led by Riley Rosenthal with three hits and Sydney Pelzer with two hits including a home run. 
Rosenthal had a triple in game one. Pelzer had all three RBIs on the day for CSP via a two-run homer and an RBI single. Alexis Monty tallied a hit and scored two runs. 
Freshman Lily Burke tallied her second triple of the season in game one. Bryleigh Dana smacked her fifth double of the season. Pelzer's home run was her eighth of the year. 
Erica McCullough pitched four innings in game one with a strikeout. Emmy Bowne pitched the final two innings of that contest with two strikeouts. 
The Golden Bears are off until next weekend when they host UMary (N.D.) (9-30, 2-12 NSIC) on Saturday, April 12 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at Carlander Field. Concordia will then host Minot State (N.D.) (21-16, 9-5 NSIC) on Sunday, April 13 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. 
Game One
The Golden Bears struck first in the opening inning with a Pelzer two-run homer after Monty was hit by a pitch. Dana doubled after the Pelzer home run, but CSP was unable to bring her home. 
SCSU cut the lead to 2-1 after a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first. The game remained that way until the fourth inning. SCSU's Brooke Holmes hit a two-run home run and Reese Holzhueter hit a 2RBI triple to take a 5-2 advantage. 
Monty and Rosenthal singled to start the fifth inning, which helped Pelzer bring Monty in on an RBI single. After Rachel Novak walked, the Golden Bears had the bases loaded, but were unable to get anybody else in. 
St. Cloud State scored four runs in the next inning, three of which came on a triple by Kaylee Collins. The Huskies added a run in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly. CSP could not get anybody on base in the sixth or seventh inning. 
Pelzer finished with two hits and three RBIs. Rosenthal tallied two hits with a triple. Burke had a triple and Dana had a double. 
McCullough picked up the loss on the mound, pitching four innings. She allowed four earned runs on five hits with a walk and a strikeout. Bowne pitched the final two innings allowing five earned runs on four hits with two walks and two strikeouts. 
Macey Clark pitched five innings for the Huskies allowing three earned runs on seven hits. She picked up the win and threw a game-high five strikeouts. Justyce Porter pitched the last two innings in relief without allowing a hit and throwing three strikeouts. 
The Huskies outhit the Golden Bears 9-7. CSP committed the only two errors of the contest. The Golden Bears left six runners on base while SCSU left four on base. 
Game Two
St. Cloud State scored two runs in the first, six runs in the second and three runs in the third to pick up the 11-0 victory. The Huskies were led by Maggie Fitzgerald with two hits and four RBIs including a two-run homer. SCSU tallied 11 total hits in the contest. 
Rosenthal recorded the only hit for the Golden Bears in the game, reaching on a single in the first inning. St. Cloud State's Emma Eickoff retired 13 straight batters after that to finish the game. 
Eickoff improved her record to 13-0 on the season. She tallied three strikeouts and totaled 67 pitches on the day. 
Tatum Dunlavy picked up the loss for the Golden Bears. She allowed eight earned runs on eight hits and two walks. Makayla Wigern pitched in relief allowing three earned runs on three hits.
