Maher named CSC Academic All-America® Second Team

Senior earns her second consecutive All-America accolade

AUSTIN, Texas - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024-25 NCAA Division II Women's Swimming and Diving CSC Academic All-America® teams and Concordia-St. Paul senior Farida Maher was named to the Second Team.

Maher becomes a two-time CSC All-American after being named to the Third Team last season, the first swimmer to receive the honor in program history. 

Joining Maher on the second team is Aspen Warnygora of Minnesota State while Bryn Greenwaldt of Augustana makes her second consecutive appearance on the First Team. Rounding out the NSIC was Abby Gronholz on the Third Team from Minnesota State. 

Lynn University's Luna Mertins, a graduate student studying clinical mental health counseling was named the 2024-25 Academic All-American of the Year after taking home four top-five placements at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships including two National Titles in both the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard freestyle. 

The Division II Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.
