MANKATO, Minn.  – The Concordia-St. Paul men's and women's track and field teams capped off the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, capturing two individual titles and turning in five All-NSIC performances.

As a team, the Golden Bears finished seventh on the men's side with 60 points and 10th on the women's side with 12 points. Minnesota State repeated as champions on both the men's and women's side.

Del Johnson continued his breakout first-year campaign, claiming the conference title and earning All-NSIC honors in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.83 seconds. That time was a new personal best and an NCAA provisional qualifier, coming within a half second of Dominique Dilmer's 2010 record of 48.38 seconds. Johnson's converted time of 48.07 seconds stands as the 56th fastest in Division II. Johnson also found success in the 200-meter dash, breaking his own school record with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 21.69 seconds. His converted time of 21.31 seconds ranks 22nd in Division II this season.

Calder Erick also claimed the first indoor conference title of his career, setting a new personal best with 5062 total points. His converted point total of 5233 points ranks 11th in Division II this year. Erick finished first in the three out of the seven heptathlon events: the 60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles, and pole vault. He also finished second in both the 1,000-meter run and shot put, third in the long jump, and seventh in the high jump. Erick is now a four-time All-NSIC performer and two-time NSIC Champion, having finished second in the heptathlon at each of the previous two NSIC Indoor Championships while claiming the conference title in last year's outdoor decathlon.

Jeffrey Odamtten and Will Hugo also placed well in the multis, placing fifth and eighth, respectively.

Senior hurdler Davion Williams continued to take time off his school record in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 7.91 seconds to place third and secure All-NSIC honors. With that time, Williams now ranks 12th in all of Division II this season in the 60-meter hurdles. Drake Daniels also placed well in the hurdles, clocking a time of 8.09 seconds to finish sixth.

Senior Emmett Faltesek brought home All-NSIC honors for the first time in his career, placing second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.47.

Dan Otto narrowly missed out on All-NSIC honors in a pair of throwing events, setting a personal best in the weight throw with a mark of 17.94 meters (58' 10.25") to finish fifth and setting a mark of 16.17 meters (53' 0.75") to place fourth in the shot put.

Junior Maya Lavendusky secured the lone All-NSIC nod for the Concordia women, placing third in the shot put with a distance of 13.50 meters (44' 3.5"). The all-conference honor is the first of her career in either the indoor or outdoor seasons.

Freshman Cadence Tanner placed fifth in the long jump to secure four points for Concordia, setting a new personal record with an NCAA provisional qualifying distance of 5.71 meters (18' 9"). That mark ranks as the 55th-longest in Division II this season.

Sophomore Mehlayna Straub also snagged two points for the Bears, placing seventh in the pentathlon with 3191 points.
