BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the 2024-25 Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams. Concordia-St. Paul's Amanda Johnson won NSIC Coach of the Year, Lindsey Becher won Defensive Player of the Year and Lydia Haack earned All-NSIC First Team.Â
This is Johnson's first NSIC Coach of the Year award. She becomes the second coach in program history to win the award as Paul Fessler won in 2012-13, 2007-08 and 2006-07. Johnson has led the Golden Bears to a program-best 26-2 regular season record and the NSIC Regular Season Championship.Â
Becher becomes the fourth NSIC Defensive Player of the Year in program history. Other award winners include Zora Quoie in 2010-11, Mary Schroeder in 2007-08 and 2006-07 and Jennifer Pozzani in 2004-05 and 2003-04.Â
She also earned her third All-NSIC First Team selection, making her the fourth player in program history to earn the honor three times. She joins the ranks of Anna Schmitt, Anika Whiting and Lisa Harfield in this category.Â
Becher's season was highlighted by breaking CSP's all-time career blocks record. She currently has 308 career blocks and is fourth in the nation this season in blocks per game. Becher has tied her career-high marks in blocked shots with 81 and steals with 37 this season.Â
Haack earns the second All-NSIC First Team selection of her career as she was also selected in 2022-23 during her time at Upper Iowa. She led the Golden Bears averaging 16.1 points per game in NSIC play, ranking sixth in the conference. Haack also averaged 4.8 assists per game during conference play, ranking second.
The top-seeded Golden Bears start NSIC Tournament play on Saturday at 11 a.m. against St. Cloud State (15-13, 11-11 NSIC) at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.Â

- Ranks first in blocked shot average in program history (2.8)
- Has tied her career-high marks in blocked shots (81) and steals (37) this season
- Had a career-high five double-doubles this season pushing her career total to 13
- Scored in double digits in 19 of CSP's 28 games this season
- Averaging 12.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in 28 games this season
