MANKATO, Minn. – The Concordia-St. Paul men's and women's track and field teams continued their indoor seasons on Friday afternoon at the Maverick Premier #1 hosted by Minnesota State.
The men were highlighted by junior
Will Sacay who secured a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter run, clocking a time of 8:45.66. His converted time of 8:39.62 ranks 11
th in the NSIC this season. Junior
Ethan Blischke also placed well in the 3,000 meter, finishing third with a personal best time of 8:50.11. Junior
Andrew Boyum continued the trend of personal bests in the 3k, clocking a time of 8:57.02 to place fifth.
Senior
Drake Daniels clocked another NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 8.15 seconds to place third.
In the throws, junior
Dan Otto set a personal record in the weight throw with a distance of 17.72 meters (58' 1.75"), good for third place in the event. Otto also competed in the shot put, placing fourth with a toss of 15.42 meters (50' 7.25").
For the Golden Bear women, junior
Maya Lavendusky set a new personal record in the shot put with a distance of 13.10 meters (42' 11.75"), placing her third in the 27-competitor field. Her mark of 13.10 meters currently stands as the eighth best in the NSIC this season. Freshman
Bernie Barnhardt also placed in the top 10 in the shot put, finishing in ninth with a distance of 12.11 meters (39' 8.75").
Senior
Destiny Mattingly set a new personal record in the 60-meter dash, clocking a time of 8.00 second to place 18
th in the preliminaries.
