ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Concordia-St. Paul women's basketball team will look to snap its three game losing streak this week. The Golden Bears will hit the road for a pair of games against Wayne State and Augustana.
On Thursday the Golden Bears take on the Wayne State Wildcats at the Rice Auditorium in Wayne, Nebraska. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
CSP heads to Sioux Falls on Saturday for an afternoon contest against the Augustana Vikings, with tip-off set for 3:30 p.m. at the Sanford Pentagon.

Fans are highly encouraged to purchase tickets online at cspbears.com/tickets prior to game day. All ticketed events for the 25-26 academic year will utilize the Vivenu online ticket platform found at that link and fans must scan a mobile ticket to enter. Tickets will still be sold on site on game day but purchases are card-only and include additional fees. CSP Basketball Coaches' Show
The CSP Basketball Coaches' Show is in its first season on Twin Cities airwaves, hosted by Wally Langfellow of Minnesota Score. The show airs on AM 1440 KYCR with weekly interviews from women's basketball head coach Amanda Johnson and men's basketball head coach Matt Fletcher.

Last Time Out
Concordia took a pair of tough losses over the weekend, dropping two games to Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls by a combined five points.
Saturday's game was a wire-to-wire contest that saw nine lead changes, with the Mustangs holding a 42-35 lead at the half.
CSP found themselves down 10 near the midway point of the third, when Lauren Wilson scored seven consecutive points to get the Golden Bears back in it. Concordia reclaimed the lead with 2:23 to play on Lydia Haack three-pointer.
SMSU held a 70-67 lead with 13 seconds to play, got the ball back and Leah Dengerud took the game tying three-point attempt, but she couldn't connect, as the Golden Bears took a tough three-point loss at home.
Laure Wilson led the way scoring 24 points, recording her fourth 20+ point performance of the season. Lydia Haack put together an 18 point night, going 6-of-14 from the field while recording 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
Sunday's game was another back-and-forth affair with the Golden Bears holding a 21-18 lead at the end of the first quarter. Sioux Falls grabbed a one point lead late in the second quarter, but a Leah Dengerud steal and fastbreak finish at the rim gave CSP a 31-30 lead, with the game tied at the 34 at halftime.
CSP led by as many as 11 in the second half, before the Cougars reclaimed the lead in the fourth quarter. Down two with 53 seconds to play, Lauren Feddema jumped in front of an errant Cougars pass, finishing with a layup to tie it at 77.
A pair of free throws put USF ahead by two with 1.5 seconds to play. CSP advanced the ball getting the inbound to Lydia Haack, but the senior guard couldn't get the three pointer to go, falling by two.
Haack turned in a season-high 27 points in the loss, while providing 11 assists to record her third double-double of the season. Dengerud also recorded a season-high in points with 19, shooting an efficient 7-of-12 from the floor and 5-of-10 from beyond the arc.
Golden Bears by the Numbers
Through 10 games the Golden Bear rank second in the NSIC in scoring, averaging 75.7 points per game. On defense CSP is allowing an average of 71.8 ppg which currently ranks 14th in the NSIC.
As a team CSP is shooting 40.6% from the field this season, good for 12th in the NSIC. While holding opponents to a 40.8% field goal percentage, good for ninth in the conference.
From beyond the arc, the Golden Bears are shooting 32%, which is good for 10th in the conference. Opponents are shooting 37.2% from three against CSP this season.
Concordia is currently fourth in the NSIC in rebounding, averaging 40.4 boards per game. Opponents are averaging 39.4 rpg against CSP this season. In terms of turnover margin, CSP ranks third in the NSIC at 2.50, while boasting the best assist/turnover ratio in the conference at 1.28.
Lauren Wilson leads the team in scoring, averaging 21.7 ppg this season. A mark that places her third in the NSIC in scoring and eighth in Division II.
Second on the team in scoring is Lydia Haack at 17.5 ppg, placing her seventh in the NSIC in scoring. Leah Dengerud is the third Golden Bears averaging double digit points at 11.7 ppg.
Avery Moeller is averaging 6.7 ppg this season off the bench for CSP. Emma Mommsen is averaging 6.4 per game this season, while Ashley Schuelke is averaging 6.3 ppg.
Wilson also leads the team in rebounding with 10.1 rebounds per game, good for first in the NSIC. Lydia Haack is second on the team in rebounding at 6.4 per game, Emma Mommsen is third with 4.8 boards per game.
In terms of shooting percentage Lauren Wilson is the team leader at 75-of-152 (48.7%) from the floor which is good for ninth in the NSIC. Lydia Haack is 61-of-148 (41.2%) from the field this season. Emma Mommsen is shooting 27-of-63 (42.9%), while Leah Dengerud is 36-of-98 (36.7%) this season. Avery Moeller is shooting 23-of-58 (39.7%) off the bench for CSP.
Haack leads the Golden Bears in three-point shooting at 20-of-51 (39.2%) which ranks sixth in the NSIC. Dengerud is second on the team from beyond the arc at 27-of-74 (36.5%), which is the eighth best mark in the NSIC. Moeller is strong from three-point range as well, shooting 16-of-44 (36.4%) from outside.
Lydia Haack leads the team with 7.4 assists per game this season, which ranks first in the NSIC and second in Division II. Haack also leads CSP in steals per game at 2.7 which is second in the NSIC.

The Golden Bears and Wildcats have played each other on 55 previous occasions dating back to 2000, with CSP winning 30 of those matchups.
Concordia currently holds a five game winning streak over Wayne State going back to February of 2023. With the Golden Bears taking both games against the Wildcats last season.
The first matchup of last season occurred on Dec. 13, with the Golden Bears earning a 75-62 win over the Wildcats at the Gangelhoff Center.
Lydia Haack led the way scoring 25 points in the win, while Lidsey Becher wasn't far behind putting together a 22 point night. Haack was a perfect 3-of-3 from three-point range and 8-of-8 at the charity stripe with 6 assists.
CSP jumped out to an early 8-0 lead, holding a 29-22 lead at the half. Haack dropped 16 points in the second quarter, with the Golden Bears going on an 11-1 run to close the third with a 59-42 lead.
The two teams faced off one more time on Feb. 8 in Wayne, Nebraska, with the Golden Bears coming out on top once again by a score of, 69-58.
The win marked CSP's ninth consecutive win over the Wildcats, with the Golden Bears leading from the tip and never relenting, holding an eight point lead after one quarter of play and building from there with a 7-0 run in the second to give Concordia a 37-27 lead at the half.
CSP's largest lead of the game came in the third, where they opened up a 50-36 advantage. The Wildcats narrowed the lead some with a 13-3 run, but a 7-0 run in the fourth helped close things out for the Golden Bears.
Lydia Haack scored 20 points in the win, with Julia Bengtson and Lindsey Becher providing 15 and 13 points each. With the win CSP improved to 22-2 on the year marking the most wins in a season since 2013-14.
About the Wildcats
Through 11 games Wayne State holds a 6-5 record, with a 1-4 record in NSIC play. The Wildcats have dropped each of their last four games including two last week to No.2 Minnesota State and St. Cloud State.
The Wildcats rank 13th in the NSIC in scoring offense, averaging 66.7 points per game this season. On defense they are allowing an average of 63.8 ppg, the third fewest in the NSIC.
As a team Wayne State is shooting 40.1% from the floor this season, which ranks 13th in the NSIC. Opponents are shooting 37% against the Wildcats this season, which is the lowest opponent FG percentage in the conference.
On the glass the Wildcats rank sixth in the NSIC, averaging 38.9 rebounds per game. Opponents are averaging 38.5 rpg against Wayne State, placing them 13th in combined opponent rebounds.

From beyond the arc Smith leads the way, converting on 10-of-21 (47.6%) of her three point attempts. Rietz has been a strong three point shooter as well, going 8-of-20 (40%) from three this season.

The Golden Bears and Vikings have faced off 40 times dating back to the 1994-95 season. Augustana has the upper hand winning 22 games over that span with CSP having won 18 games.
In NSIC matchups the Golden Bears are 15-16 against the Vikings since 2009. Over the last 10 meetings the teams are 5-5 each other, last season Concordia won the lone matchup of the season.
CSP earned a 80-58 win over Augustana at the Gangelhoff Center last December behind a 21 point night from Lindsey Becher. Concordia led 19-13 at the end of the opening quarter of play, but a 14-4 run to close out the first half, outscoring Augie 29-11 in the period to put the Golden Bears ahead by 24 at the half.
From there CSP continued to build its lead to a game-high 28 in the third quarter. Lydia Haack finished with 12 points and 6 assists going 5-of-9 from the field. Leah Dengerud and Emma Mommsen each scored six points in the win.
About the Vikings
Augustana is off to a 4-6 start to the 2025-26 season with a 1-4 record in NSIC play, after going 1-1 last week. Augie earned its first conference win of the season on Thursday, taking down St. Cloud State, 72-68.
As a team Augustana is averaging 71.1 ppg this season, which ranks 10th in the NSIC. In terms of scoring defense the Vikings are allowing 72.8 ppg this season which is 14th in the conference.
The Vikings are shooting 41.5% from the field this season, good for 10th in the NSIC. Opponents are shooting 42.1% against Augustana this season, placing them 11th in opponent FG percentage.
