INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The second NCAA Women's Soccer Regional Rankings have been released and Concordia-St. Paul appears at No. 8 in the Central Region.

This is the Golden Bears second straight week in the rankings after appearing under consideration in the alphabetical release last week.

The third and final poll will come out next Wednesday before the NCAA Selection show on Monday, Nov. 17 at NCAA.com at 5:30 p.m. (CT).

The NSIC has five teams ranked in the central region, including Minnesota State in the top-spot, Bemidji State and St. Cloud State ranked fifth through sixth, Concordia-St. Paul at eighth and Augustana at ninth.

CSP has one game remaining in the regular-season and will host the Warriors of Winona State at Sea Foam Stadium on Nov. 6, looking to finish strong and move up in the conference standings.

The Navy and Gold currently sit at fifth place in the NSIC and have clinched a spot in the conference tournament. Seeding and opponents will be named after the conclusion of the regular-season on Thursday with quarterfinals being played on Monday, Nov. 10.

This is Concorida's third time in the regional rankings and the second consecutive season in which they appear. They made their first appearance in 2019, where they won the NSIC Regular-Season Title and made their first NCAA appearance in program-history.

Last season, CSP earned their first time back on the list since 2019 and went on to make their second NCAA Tournament appearance.

The NSIC, the Mid-America Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Great American Conference (GAC) make up the 36-team NCAA Central Region. The top eight teams in the region will advance to the NCAA region tournament. The two top-seeded teams in each region shall be offered the opportunity to host, provided minimum site selection criteria are met and a bid has been submitted.  Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the MIAA, GAC and NSIC postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots awarded on an at-large basis.

The first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament will take place Nov. 21-22 with the Regional Championship taking place Nov. 29-30. The NCAA Elite Eight is scheduled for Dec. 5-6 before the remaining teams will travel to Colorado Spring, Colo. for the Final Four and National Championship taking place at Weidner Field on Dec. 12 and 14.
