MIAMI, Fla. - The Concordia- St. Paul swimming and diving team opened up 2025 with a strong start at the FIU Invite taking home a fourth place finish against a strong field of both DI and DII programs at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center in Miami, Florida on Saturday afternoon.
Following the invite, head coach Rachel Busch stated, "We had a blast competing today, and I am very proud of how well the team has done during our intense training this week."
The Golden Bears have spent the past week down in Florida on their annual winter training trip, Busch stated, "Our time in Florida has been outstanding. The team has put in a lot of challenging training and we have experienced lifelong memories from both practices and fun adventures."
CSP finished the meet with 10 top-10 finishes led by Claire Briest with three top-10 finishes including an eighth place finish in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.
Due to the cold weather, the diving portion of the invite was cancelled, but that didn't stop the CSP divers from cheering on their teammates.
The Golden Bears will return to the pool next weekend Jan 10-11 for the Dragon Invite hosted by MSU Moorhead at the Hulbert Aquatic Center in West Fargo, N.D.
