1ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Concordia-St. Paul track and field teams combined for six wins among their 30 top-10 finishes between the Joe Sweeney Invitational and Maverick Open #1 on Wednesday as Drake Daniels and Owen Erickson each broke school records on the day.

Daniels had a big day at the Joe Sweeney Invitational on the campus of St. Thomas as he won the 110m hurdles and took second in the 400m hurdles. His time of 14.46 seconds came just 0.04 seconds shy of his record in the 110m hurdles while his mark of 54.61 seconds in the 400m hurdles broke Tyler Naumowicz's 2015 record of 54.89 seconds.

Erickson finished the day on a high note as he comfortably eclipsed teammate Will Sacay's record of 14:44.11 in the 5000m set a few weeks ago with a mark of 14:37.84 to take ninth.

Daniels' win was one of five for the team at the meet as Thomas Dietel and Ted Carey picked up the others for the men as Dietel cruised to a mark of 10.81 seconds in the 100m while Carey cleared 22' 6.50" in the long jump.

Both of the win's on the women's side came in field events as Arika Harbo claimed the top spot in the high jump, clearing 5' 8.00", while Cadence Tanner's distance of 18' 5.75" in the long jump earned her first. Tanner also grabbed second in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.20 seconds.

Tarnue David had a hand in a pair of second-place finishes as he fell just 0.01 seconds behind Dietel in the 100m while he also joined forces with Dietel, Ashton Brown and Jerry Chanzu in the 4x100m relay to take second with a time of 41.14 seconds. Tyce Smith took third in the 200m while Arik Nikolas took third in the triple jump.

At the Maverick Open #1, Cullen Feist was the top finisher as he grabbed the victory in the javelin throw, clearing 171' 7" with his best throw.
