ST. PAUL, Minn. - Postseason play begins for the Concordia-St. Paul softball team (37-13, 19-7 NSIC) on Thursday at Bowden Field in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Golden Bears face Minot State (22-18, 18-10 NSIC) in the NSIC quarterfinals at 3 p.m.

Concordia-St. Paul opens the tournament as the No. 2 seed in the 10-team single-elimination tournament. If CSP advances to the semifinals, it will face the winner between No. 3 Minnesota Duluth (39-14, 20-8 NSIC) and No. 6 Winona State (33-19, 17-9 NSIC) on Friday at 2:30 p.m. The NSIC Championship takes place on Saturday at noon.

CSP was swept in their midweek matchup against Winona State before sweeping Wayne State (8-40, 4-20 NSIC) on Saturday. Concordia's regular season finale on Sunday against Sioux Falls (20-27, 11-15 NSIC) was canceled due to rain.

However, CSP couldn't get the game into extra innings, as Winona State hit an RBI single at the bottom of the seventh inning to win. The Warriors used that momentum in game two, getting a 9-1 six-inning victory.
