DES MOINES, Iowa - The Concordia-St. Paul track and field teams saw three school records fall at the Drake Relays while the Golden Bears combined for 25 top-20 finishes and 10 in the top-10 between the Drake Relays and Kip Janvrin Open.
In the 400m at the Drake Relays,
Tyce Smith raised the bar on his own school record as he took home eighth with a time of 47.76 seconds.
While Smith claimed an individual school record, a pair of relay records fell on the women's side. First,
Karlina Zimmerman,
Destiny Mattingly,
Nyadio Chan,
Jaid Perry combined for a mark of 3:53.85 to surpass the 2017 record of 3:54.69 by less than a second as they took 15th.
In the sprint medley relay, Mattingly, Perry and Chan were joined by
Arika Harbo as the quartet registered a time of 4:09.61 to finish fourth. Their time smashed the record of 4:14.03 set in 2022 in a race that Perry also took part in.
Calder Erick claimed an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the decathlon as his total of 6401 points put him in fourth in the Drake Relays. His top events came in the 100m, 110m hurdles and 1500m as he grabbed fifth in all three while he also took seventh in the pole vault and ninth in the discus.
Arika Harbo finished off the weekend with a sixth-place result in the high jump as she cleared 5' 7".

Priestly Jibunor and
Emmett Faltesek had a top-five finish of their own in the meet as their time of 3:29.09 earned them fifth in the sprint medley relay.
At the Kip Janvrin Open, the top finishes came in the hammer throw as
Carter Krummen and
Esther Mensah each took fifth in their respective events. Krummen cleared 175' 4" while Mensah put up a distance of 156' 8".
Cade Feist and
Sarah Jeppesen each followed in seventh in the event.
Cullen Feist chipped in a seventh-place result in the javelin in the meet.
The rest of the team will return to action at the Maverick Open #1 and Tommie Twilight on Wednesday as well as the Meet of the UnSaintly in their final tune-ups before the NSIC Outdoor Championships.
