MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - On Saturday at the Gopher Classic on the campus of the University of Minnesota, the Concordia-St. Paul track & field teams tallied 30 top-10 finishes, including 15 in the top five on the day.

The top-10 finishes were nearly evenly split between the men and the women as the men finished with 16 and the women finished with 14.

Of the nine top-five finishes on the men's side, eight came on the track, including three in the 200m. Tarnue David was the top finisher in that event as he took second with a time of 22.30 while Priestly Jibunor followed close behind in third at 22.54 and Tyce Smith took fourth with a time of 22.64.

Emmett Faltesek added a second-place result of his own as he wrapped up the 800m in 1:54.81. Drake Daniels took third in the 60m hurdles while Smith took fourth in the 400m and Jerry Chanzu took fifth in the 60m

In the throws, Cade Feist grabbed fourth in the shot put while he added a ninth-place finish in the weight throw.

The women's quartet of Karlina Zimmerman, Cadence Tanner, Nyadio Chan and Jaid Perry collected the lone win on the day for the team as their time of 4:09.62 in the 4x400m relay took the top spot.

Tanner chipped in two more top-five results as her mark of 5' 3.75" was good for second in the pole vault while her mark of 8.05 seconds in the 60m earned her fifth.

Perry took second in the 600m with a time of 1:38.72 while Chan took fourth in the event. Zimmerman added a fourth-place finish in the 200m.

Concordia returns to Minnesota State next weekend for the Maverick Premier #1 on Friday and the Maverick Premier #2 on Saturday.
