Faltesek and Daniels hit provos at the Snowshoe Open

Golden Bears add 12 top-10 finishes at the Gene Glader Classic

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Emmett Faltesek and Drake Daniels hit NCAA provisional qualifying marks while Faltesek and Destiny Mattingly picked up victories at the Snowshoe Open on Friday afternoon on the campus of the University of Minnesota.

In total, the Golden Bears collected 24 top-10 results with 11 inside the top five on the day.

Faltsesek took home the top spot in the mile as his time of 4:12.60 earned him an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. 

Not to be outdone, Drake Daniels came within 0.03 seconds of his school record in the prelims of the 60m hurdles before blowing past the record with a time of 8.06 seconds in the finals to take fifth in the event.

Destiny Mattingly grabbed a win of her own in the 200m as she finished in 25.77 seconds while she added a seventh-place result in the the 60m.

Cadence Tanner picked up three top-10 finishes on the day as her mark of 5' 2.25" in the high jump earned her second while she added finishes of sixth in the long jump and eighth in the 60m.

Tyrese Ossei claimed a third-place result in the high jump while Karlina Zimmerman (400m), Samara Jones (high jump) and Ethan Blischke (800m) all registered fourth-place finishes in their respective events.

On Saturday at the Gene Glader Classic on the campus of Bethel, CSP's throwers collected 12 finishes inside the top 10 with eight results coming in the top five.

Esther Mensah's mark of 55' 5.5" resulted in the team's lone win at the event as she was followed by Sarah Jeppesen in third and Maya Lavendusky in fourth while Mensah and Lavendusky took third and fourth, respectively, in the weight throw.

Cade Feist took second with a distance of 51' 4.5" in the shot put while Carter Krummen and Keyshawn Pettis went back-to-back in fourth and fifth in the weight throw.

The Golden Bears return to action at the NSIC Indoor Championships next weekend in Mankato.
