MANKATO, Minn. - For the second day in a row, the Concordia-St. Paul track & field teams made the trip south to Minnesota State as they collected 19 top-10 finishes with nine in the top five at the Maverick Premier #2 on Saturday.

Drake Daniels continued his strong campaign as he broke his own school record in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.12 seconds, surpassing his previous best of 8.18 seconds set a few weeks ago. His mark earned him fourth in the event, one day after taking fifth, as he improved on his NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

Emmett Faltesek collected the team's lone win on the day as he paced the field with a time of 1:55.49 in the 800m.

Concordia's short-distance crew continued to provide good results as Tarnue David took third in the 200m with a time of 22.26 while his mark of 7.01 seconds in the 60m earned him sixth in the 60m prelims. One day after hitting a provo in the 200m, Jerry Chanzu edged his teammate in the 60m as he took home fourth with a time of 6.96 seconds. Vance Landa chipped in a fifth-place result in the 400m as well.

In the field events, Arik Nikolas eclipsed Ted Carey in the triple jump as they finished fifth and sixth, respectively, while Dan Otto took fifth in the weight throw.

Cadence Tanner registered a pair of top-10 finishes as she took seventh in the high jump, clearing 5' 1.75" and 10th in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 9.21 seconds. Mehlayna Straub also took ninth in the high jump with a mark of 4' 11.75".

The Golden Bears travel back to the University of Minnesota next weekend for the Snowshoe Open on Friday in the final tuneup before the NSIC Indoor Championships on Feb. 23-24 in Mankato, Minn.
