WARRENSBURG, Mo. - The 2024 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Women's Soccer All-America Team was released on Tuesday Morning and Concordia- St. Paul sophomore Sydney Potter was named D2CCA All-America Second Team.
Potter becomes the first Golden Bear to make the team in program history and has cemented herself as one of the most accomplished CSP goalkeepers in a single season.
A total of 39 student-athletes from 31 institutions are represented on three All-America Teams with each team including four forwards, four midfielders, four defenders and one goalkeeper.
Joining Potter from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference is senior defender Lucy Weninger from Minnesota State who makes the First-Team.
Sports Information Directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences sponsoring women's soccer selected the D2CCA All-America teams. The process begins at the regional level with the First Team All-Region members advancing to the national ballot.
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
