SERIES HISTORY: UMD 13, CSP 3
The Golden Bears will attempt to halt a 10-game losing streak to the Bulldogs, entering the 17th meeting between the programs dating back to CSP's entry into the Division II and NSIC fold in 1999.
Concordia's last win over UMD was a 38-6 win at Griffin Stadium in 2004, a win that evened the series at 3-3.
The Golden Bears are 2-5 against UMD at home, but seeking their first win at Sea Foam Stadium in UMD's fourth trip to the stadium that brought football back to campus in 2009. Prior to Sea Foam Stadium, CSP held a 2-2 record against UMD at Griffin Stadium.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
UMD has won its last two games to go from one game under .500 to a a winning 5-4 overall record with two games to play. The Bulldogs also went from 2-4 in the NSIC to a .500 league record at 4-4 with the 35-21 win over Minot State and 42-38 win at Winona State.
Prior to pulling out the 4-point win over WSU last week, the Bulldogs had been on the wrong end of four 1-score games, falling by one to MSU Moorhead (29-30), four to Augustana (24-28) and a pair of 21-24 losses to Northern State and Sioux Falls.
Coming off of a 9-2 campaign in 2023, the Bulldogs were the league favories entering the 2024 season, securing eight (of 12) first place votes.
UMD is led by the reigning D2Football.com National Player of the Week, quarterback Kyle Walljasper, who led the NSIC with 420 yards of total offense including 236 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns, averaing 9.1 yards per carry. He also passed for 184 and a 74-yard TD pass.
Walljasper is the NSIC's third-leading rusher on the year with 630 yards and eight TDs, leads the NSIC with a 179.3 pass efficiency with 1,613 yards, 16 TD passes and three INTs with a 67.5 completion percentage. Walljasper also ranks second in the NSIC behind MSU Moorhead's Jack Strand in total offense with 280.4 yards per game.
His top target is DaShaun Ames with 29 catches for 614 yards and 8 TDs while Jimmy Durocher adds 30-417 and three TDs.
Defensively, Drew Hennessey and Matt Weerts have recorded 9.0 TFLs and Landon Carter has added 8.5 TFLs with Andrew Klopp securing 7.5, giving UMD four of the league's top 16 in TFLs.
Hennessey also has 5.0 sacks, Weerts 4.5 and Carter 3.5.
UMD kicker Curt Cox has converted 6-10 FGs and his 6.4 points per game leads all NSIC kickers.
