Golden Bears ranked seventh in second NCAA regional rankings

CSP one of four NSIC schools in the top-10

INDIANAPOLIS - The second NCAA Soccer Regional Rankings have been released and Concordia- St. Paul is ranked seventh in the Central Region. 

The NSIC has four teams ranked in the central region, including top-three Minnesota State followed by St. Cloud State, Concordia- St. Paul and Augustana that are sixth through 10th in the rankings. 

CSP (11-3-3, 9-3-1 NSIC) has one game remaining in the regular season and will host the Cougars of Sioux Falls in their regular-season finale at Sea Foam Stadium Nov. 7 and will look to keep their six-game winning streak alive. 

The Golden Bears currently sit at second place in the conference and have clinched a spot in the NSIC Conference Tournament and will host a first-round game Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. The opponent will be named after the conclusion of the regular season. 

The NSIC Tournament is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 11, Friday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 17. The top four seeds host a first round match, followed by the semccifinal and championship rounds at the campus of the highest remaining seed of the four quarterfinal winners.

The NSIC, the Mid-America Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Great American Conference (GAC) make up the 35-team NCAA Central Region. The top eight teams in the region will advance to the NCAA region tournament. The two top-seeded teams in each region shall be offered the opportunity to host, provided minimum site selection criteria are met and a bid has been submitted.  Automatic bids are granted to the winners of the MIAA, GAC and NSIC postseason tournaments, with the remaining five spots awarded on an at-large basis. 

The NCAA Women's Soccer selection show will be streamed online on Monday, Nov. 18 at NCAA.com at 5:30 p.m. (CT).

The first/second round matches of the regional tournament will take place on campus on November 22-24 while third/quarter final rounds will be contested at campus sites on December 1 & 7. 

The 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Semifinal and Championship will take place on December 13 & 15 at Sportsplex at Matthews in Matthews, North Carolina; hosted by Wingate University.
