CSP celebrates the 50th anniversary of Title IX

5.19.23

ST. PAUL, Minn. – In honor of the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX, the Concordia-St. Paul athletic department will be spotlighting its nine female athletic programs throughout the 2022-23 school year. The sixth spotlight is the CSP lacrosse program.

Title IX to me means opportunities. Opportunities that 50 years ago were not possible for women in sports. Title IX has given this program and many others the opportunity to give players a chance to compete at the collegiate level and play the sport they love. Sports continue to bring so much value, lessons, joy, and passion into our lives. Title IX also represents the work that has been done in the past but is also a reminder of the work that we need to continue to do to help ensure an even better future for the generations to come.
